 Rope Access is a method of safely working at height or in difficult or awkward places. Using techiques developed for climbing and caving, rope access allows workers to reach locations which might previously have been innaccessible or have required large amounts of scaffolding.Since the late 1980s, these techniques have been used in locations as diverse as Oil Rigs, Skyscrapers, Stadia and Cliff Faces, allowing inspection, cleaning and construction to be carried out cheaply and safely.  Because of its nature, the rope access industry takes place in some spectacular locations and provides equally spectacular photos.On this website we hope to build up a large collection of these, along with descriptions and comments about the jobs they were taken on. UPLOAD A PICTURE To upload a new picture to the Rope Access Photos website, please read the following instructions. Firstly, please note that the picture must have been taken by you or you must have the permission of the copyright holder. Once you have uploaded the picture the copyright still belongs to you (or the current owner), although you should understand that images on the internet can easily be duplicated and used by others. Secondly, ensure that your image has been saved on your computer in the following format - it should be a .jpg, with a maximum width of 735px and less than 200k in filesize. If you are happy with the above, you can use the form below to browse for your image, and then click the upload button. Once you do this you will then be able to enter your details and information about the photograph. Shortly thereafter an editor will check your submission and make it live. Please note that not all pictures may be published - the editor may decide that the picture is not applicable to this site, or duplicates a picture already there.
